Blue Ox Boys (Eagle Showdown Town)

Over the course of many cold winter’s nights back in 2022, a group of players at a Vail Valley open mic discovered a musical bond that would change the trajectory of their musical lives from that point on.

A few short months later, they emerged from winter as a cohesive unit, and were offered their first official gig – a slot at Vail’s local SpringFree Bluegrass Festival, where they had the opportunity to play among the Infamous Stringdusters, Sierra Hull, John Stickley and many of their other bluegrass heroes. It was the experience of a lifetime and the inspiration that would fuel them to go on to play many more shows in their community and throughout Colorado.

The Blue Ox Boys are a Vail, Colorado based bluegrass band comprised of Kris Ochs (guitar, vocals), Nick Puglisi (banjo, vocals), Glenn Reynolds (bass), Scott Loss (fiddle), Joel Blackmer (mandolin).

This five piece bluegrass band delivers a high-energy show, spanning traditional and contemporary styles, with a deep catalog of covers and original music that is sure to get your feet stomping and put a smile on your face.
