Three-Night Music Marathon in Grand Junction – May 7 – 9, 2025
The Western Slope comes out swinging the first week of May with three big-name shows in a row—each at a different hometown venue. Clear your calendar and get ready for a little mid-week road-trip magic.
Wednesday, May 7 – Noeline Hofmann at Warehouse25 Sixty-Five
Noeline Hofmann, a 20 year old country artist from the Badlands of Southern Alberta, Canada, she blends bittersweet melodies with gritty authenticity, drawing inspiration from honky-tonks and the Prairies. Named one of Holler Country’s top artists for 2024 and currently on tour with Charley Crockett and Wyatt Flores. Noeline’s song “Purple Gas” was featured on Zach Bryan’s Belting Bronco YouTube series and later recorded as a duet for his new album, The Great American Bar Scene. Noeline is considered one of the rising stars in independent country music.
The Nashville-by-way-of-Canada song-slinger kicks things off inside GJ’s favorite industrial listening room. If you like Brandi Carlile’s fearless storytelling but crave a grittier alt-country edge, Noeline’s your jam. Show starts at 7 PM; grab brisket sliders and a peach sour before the lights drop. Thursday, May 8 – Dwight Yoakam + The Mavericks + 49 Winchester at Las Colonias Amphitheater
This one’s really not to be missed – and I’ll be there for sure. I haven’t seen Dwight since the first big Under the Big Sky in Montana a few years back and I’m really looking forward to it. This will be my first Mavericks show – and we say 49 Winchester open up for Tyler Childers in Nashville last year and what a damn show!
A riverside double-deck patio, spring sunset, and three generations of country swagger. Bakersfield legend Dwight Yoakam headlines, Tex-Mex crooners The Mavericks bring the horns, and Appalachian up-and-comers 49 Winchester open the gates. Music begins about 7 PM; lawn blankets are still allowed, coolers are not. Live Nation
Friday, May 9 – Marcus King at the Avalon Theatre
Round three moves indoors to the 1923 art-deco jewel box on Main Street. Marcus King’s “Goes to School” tour slings searing blues-soul solos that land somewhere between Duane Allman and Chris Stapleton. Doors 7 PM, down-beat 8 PM. The Avalon Theatre
